When I left Denver Colorado, after a big trade show there, about 1pm on Janurary 19th... because of the storms, I was lucky to have 75 to 150 YARDS of visability. It was snowing so hard. I was told the storm was coming from the south, so I decided to travel North on I-25 to Wyoming. Then catch I-80 west to Reno, where I caught US395 north to Susanville, CA... to US 36, to US 44 through Lassen Park, dropping out in Mt. Shasta, CA on I5, where I traveled North to S. Oregon. I arrived at about 6pm on the 20th. Yee ha! That's a whole bunch of driving... about 1400 miles EACH DIRECTION! I didn't get to stop and take as many photos as I would have liked. I wasn't able to shoot the herds of deer, or bison, or the herd of wild horses, the coyotes, wolf, or variety of birds. Too much snow & ice... to pull over in many places, so many of the shoots are 'while driving' either out the side windows - or through the dirty windshield.I tried to play with the aperature to help eliminate the garbage on my window and focus on the beauty I was seeing and passing by. Most shots are during the day... but there are a few taken of some moutains just outside of Salt Lake during the amazing full moon - at 11pm!~ Seriously looking like DAY TIME!Elk Mountain in WyomingMt.
