In all my years and travels, I've only seen a hand full of wild foxes... and this is the first one I've been able to photograph with any success. I hope you like some of these shots. This fox seemed to like basking in the sun light after a long cold winter. I've seen 'it' a few times, was able to get within about 30 feet one of the times (with camera, about 20 feet without a camera... think the shutter noise spooks it a bit). It seems healthy, happy, and in good shape. There's a 20 acre field behind me, which is where it lives - along with some raccoons, skunks, opossums, a red tailed hawk, a sparrow hawk (American Kestrel) and a few other critters. Hopefully I'll have an opportunity to get a few more shots.(c) 2010, Terry Mercer - If there are any photos you're interested in, please let me know.
